THE PROCESS
Adopting from Kuwait
Adopting a rescue from Kuwait means giving an animal a chance they may not have otherwise had. Many of the dogs and cats we rescue come from difficult conditions with limited local resources available to support them. Through rescue, foster care, and transport, they’re given the opportunity to experience safety, stability, and eventually, a loving home.
By the time they arrive in the United States, they have already been through an incredible journey. They’ve been cared for by our rescue team in Kuwait, received veterinary treatment, and spent time learning to trust again.
These animals are resilient, loving, and deeply rewarding companions. Many settle beautifully into home life once given patience, consistency, and kindness.
When you adopt from BFG Kuwait, you are not only changing the life of one animal, you are also helping us continue to rescue more dogs and cats in need.
** Please note: Applications are reviewed carefully to ensure the best fit for both the animal and adopter, and submission does not guarantee approval
Adoption Fees
Rescuing a dog from Kuwait is a far more involved process than a traditional local adoption, and the adoption fee reflects only a portion of what it takes to safely bring these dogs home.
Each dog begins their journey with extensive veterinary care in Kuwait. This includes vaccinations, bloodwork, microchipping, spay/neuter procedures, treatment, health certificates, and the medical preparation required for international travel approval.
Once medically cleared, the dogs must then travel internationally. Costs include airline-approved travel crates, cargo and flight fees, transportation coordination, and clearance through a CDC quarantine facility before entering the United States.
In reality, the total rescue and transport cost for many dogs exceeds the adoption fee itself. Adoption fees help offset a portion of these expenses, but organizations like BFG continue to rely heavily on donations, fosters, volunteers, and community support to bridge the gap and make these rescues possible.
Every adoption directly helps save another dog waiting for their chance to leave the streets and safely begin a new life.
