Urgent: Help Us Bring 8 More Dogs to Safety from Kuwait
The situation for dogs in Kuwait is becoming increasingly desperate, and we need your help to get as many of them to safety as possible.
Our rescuers on the ground are facing an incredibly difficult situation. Efforts to eradicate street dogs and shelter dogs are underway, including reports of dogs being shot and killed. Families forced to flee the region because of the war have left their dogs behind, and abandoned packs are growing. Following two recent bite incidents, there is now even greater pressure from the government to eliminate dogs, including those already living in shelters.
Our team in Kuwait is doing everything possible to protect these animals, but time is running out for many of them.
How You Can Help
We are working to bring as many dogs out of Kuwait as possible on our next flight. We currently have approximately 10 foster homes secured, and we are hoping to bring 8 more dogs to safety. To make that happen, we need additional foster families and financial support.
Here is what we need right now:
Foster homes: We are looking for families willing to foster small and medium-sized dogs, as well as 3 Salukis. Fostering gives these dogs a safe place to land, a chance to decompress and the opportunity to find their forever homes.
Flight funds: We need to raise $3,000 to cover the costs of bringing these 8 dogs to safety.
Help spreading the word: Sharing our mission with friends, family and fellow animal lovers can help us reach potential fosters and donors we might not otherwise find.
